"......and the Oscar goes to......" ***** HEAVY PARADISE's AWARDS FOR 2015*****

Here we are at the end of 2015, another great year (musically speaking), with this year's top lists. I would dare to say that 2015 was a difficult year regarding the financial crisis here in Greece but, also, a lot of 'bad' things happened across the world (terrorism e.t.c.). Here in Heavy Paradise my goal is, was and will always be..., to present you all the latest news from our beloved music. No matter if it's called AOR, Melodic Hard Rock, Metal or Power Metal. I tried to present you, through the reviews,  many new stuff and I hope that I helped you to decide what to buy or not. Even if this web-zine needs many hours, it's still here, alive and kickin' after these 6 years and I hope that it will be alive for ages.... At this point, I need to say a huge THANK YOU : to Heavy Paradise's readers, to the artists and to my family and friends for all the support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! But enough with the talking, grab yourself a cold beer and enjoy the HEAVY PARADISE'S AWARDS FOR 2015.

The most difficult part in TOP LISTS is to decide which album will end-up in first position. And it's a damn hard thing 'cause this year there were at least four or five albums that were pure candy in my ears and could easily be the number one. Pffff......btw here is the first category (TOP 20 ALBUMS OF 2015) :

Comeback Of The Year

 DEF LEPPARD / DEF LEPPARD
I think that even Def Leppard wouldn't imagined such a great comeback!

The new self-titled album marks the band's return to its roots, with a fresh and updated sound, and made happy each and every die-hard fan of the band.

BEST MUSICIAN/BAND

Without any doubt, Erik Martensson has the touch of Midas! Whatever he is involve with turns into gold. This guy and his band (ECLIPSE) are responsible for the masterpiece that's called "Armageddonize". I think that Erik wins with a difference the award for the best musician of 2015 and ECLIPSE the award for the best band of 2015.

BEST VIDEO CLIP

ECLIPSE / Stand On Your Feet (Taken from "Armageddonize" album)

BEST LIVE ALBUM

EDEN'S CURSE / LIVE WITH THE CURSE

  1. Thanks for your work with keeping this site going...Browse it often looking for information.

One glaring omission on your top albums for me is Degreed Dead But Not Forgotten...I have it right up near Eclipse in my top albums and it's a fantastic album.

    Good stuff though..THANKS
