REVIEW : TEMPERANCE --- Of Jupiter And Moons (Scarlet Records, April 2018)

Without any doubt the modern melodic metal band of Temperance is one of the most talented of its kind in this scene in the recent years. With already three solid releases, so far, Temperance is back in business with their brand new opus with the title "Of Jupiter And Moons" through Scarlet Records.

Temperance is already known as a heavy touring band: they played in more than 150 shows in three years, including a U.S. Tour, a full support tour with Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, a Japanese tour, a headlining European tour in 2017, a special theater show with a choir and a string quartet (where the 'Maschere' DVD, released in 2017, was recorded) and support shows for Nightwish, Slipknot, Within Temptation and more!

For those who aren't familiar with the band's sound, allow me to say that you're missing a great band all the way. Temperance is heavy, extremely melodic with melodies n' harmonies to die for, a tight and powerful sound that includes great arrangements and the symphonic, aggressive and in some parts electronic elements are givin' the extra 'push' to the final result to aim the final result to the sky!!

"The Last Hope In A World Of Hopes" kicks-off things here impressively. Symphonic modern melodic metal at its best. The fans of Nightwish, Amaranthe and generally all the fans of this scene will smile proudly! With "Broken Promises" we have another killer tune out of this new opus. Up-tempo, catchy to the bone and with a chorus line to sing-a-long "Broken Promises" is excellent. Of course the highlights don't stop here, "Of Jupiter And Moons", "We Are Free" and the huge "The Art Of Believing" are all three solid samples of Temperance's sound. All three include a 'fat' sound, big arrangements, powerful performances, tons of melodies and a tight musicianship. Another interesting moment is the epic, darker and moodier tune of "Empires And Men" that includes top notch performances. Excellent stuff!!!!

I think that Temperance with their brand new record, "Of Jupiter And Moons", overwhelmed themselves and delivered a fantastic album all the way. Without any doubt this opus is the band's ticket for bigger success, bigger recognition and of course wider audience. They deserve it!!
