REVIEW : JACE PAWLAK -- PROMISE (2016)

A coupe of years back, I reviewed Jace Pawlak's "Respective" album and I was impressed by the quality of this release. The quality of the songs, the heart-full music and, in general, I was impressed by every little thing about that record. Nowadays, it's time to review Pawlak's newest effort (2016) with the title "Promise".

This time the artist goes to a more AOR/Melodic Rock path and, to be honest, the final result will blow you away. This guy stays true to his influences and bands such as Nelson, Bad English, Def Leppard and The Storm (to name a few) and the final result will please every single fan of this scene.

"Tonight Is Everything" which opens the new record is pure melodic rock heaven! The harmonies, the arrangements, the melodies and everything here is pure bliss! Next, in "Before You Run" we have another melodic treasure. Up-tempo melodic rock with a positive vibe in it this track is one of my personal favorites here. "Too Late" 'smells' 80's from miles away while "Waiting" (feat. Pete Lents) reminds me a bit of early The Storm/Night Ranger and that's a good thing! It's a kinda of tracks that makes you wanna push the repeat button again and again. Excellent stuff!! "Late On Loving You" is just killer; edgier and passionate melodic rock with a huge chorus line. "Can't Find Your Heart" could easily appeared in any of The Storm's records and it's again another highlight out of the new opus.

I think that Jace Pawlak with "Promise" leaves a big promise to the melodic rock/AOR world for even bigger things in the near future! Amazing record!

Rating : 9,5/10
