I have always appreciated this band and I own most of their records but with "The Labyrinth" I have to say that Osukaru overcame themselves and created their best album to-date. Sometimes heavier and punchier but with melodies to die for and all their well-known included Osukaru's newest effort will be loved by any fan of this scene.
After the short intro of "Maze Of Mind" comes the real thing; "The Stories We Tell" kicks-off things here with its beautiful melody, the 'crunchier' guitar work and a late 80's vibe in it!!! Excellent song!! "Voices In The Dark" includes this duo vocal attack and along with the heavier approach makes it another highlight out of "The Labyrinth". "Edge Of Night" is epic!! A darker and heavier tune without loosing any of the band's earlier elements this one is one of my personal favorites here. "Voodoo (Who Do?)" is a killer! A true and old-fashioned hard rock song with attitude and a catchy chorus line. Check out also the groovier and once again 'punchier "The Offering" which is another strong moment out of the new record.
As I already mentioned above Osukaru is back with its best album to-date. Bigger, punchier and melodic "The Labyrinth" is a record that can't be missed by any fan of the classic AOR/Melodic Rock sound.
