REVIEW : FM / Indiscreet 30 (2016)

"Indiscreet" was the debut album of the AOR legends FM. So, after 30 years since the release of such a great debut, the time has come for FM to re-release this record in a more 'modern' way. And when I say modern, I mean that the band wanted to put today's recording technologies into the classic songs.

The idea started when the band was recording the follow-up to "Heroes And Villains" album. They decided to put down a backing track to "That Girl" to see how it would sound with the huge sounds they were getting at the time. The result was a new dynamic and power that it was not possible to be achieved back in the 80’s.

So, what we have here is a new and fresh edition of the classic debut plus seven bonus tracks including a brand new song "Running On Empty" and a new recording of "Let Love Be The Leader".

I think that it's unnecessary to mention/review each track separately regarding of the songs that related the "Indiscreet" album. The only thing that I have to say is that FM achieved to give to the whole album a fresher and even bigger sound to every tune and at the end made this classic debut an extremely pleasant listening. Songs like "Other Side Of Midnight", "That Girl", "American Girls" and "Frozen Heart" are all classic in my book and with the new updated sound all are sounding perfect!! The new, "Running On Empty" is a typical, feel-good FM  tune that will please each and every single fan of the band and, of course, every serious melodic rock fan out there.

A big bravo to FM that dared to re-record such a classic debut and rocket it up to the sky!!! Simply breathtaking!!
