REVIEW : Space Elevator / Space Elevator (2016

Space Elevator is a new female-fronted rock band that has its roots to the classic rock era and bands such as Queen, Kate Bush, Genesis and Fleetwood Mac. This new rock sensation has a privilege to have a lead singer as The Duchess. Her voice is simply amazing and her vocal skills shine all over the record.

The opening tune of "Elevator" is pure 80's pop-rock delight. It's fun, up-tempo and features a really nice groove that makes you wanna dance!! "We Are The Losers" it's a nice mid-tempo rocker with a Queen-ish vibe in it while in "I Will Find You" The Duchess' delivers some excellent theatrical performances. "Little White Lies", "Loneliness Of Love" and "Oils And Bubbles" are all three superb slices of pure 80's Classic Rock stuff with clever hooks and choruses, great arrangements, solid guitars and, of course, amazing performances.

It's really difficult to find a weak song or something average here as every single track is pure delight. As I already mentioned above, the band's strongest point is its lead singer whose performances are out of this world. An excellent rock album that cannot be missed by any fan of the classic rock sound.
