REVIEW : DEVIL'S TRAIN / II (2015)

In 2012, Devil's Train released a great bluesy heavy rock album that achieved to make some noise in this particular scene and left a big hope for the future. Nowadays, the heavy train of R.D. Liapakis and Laki Ragazas is back with another solid sample of pure and traditional U.S. flavored heavy rock stuff at its best!

The new album has everything that the ordinary hard rock/metal fan could ask for; a big and 'fat' guitar sound, a powerful shouter, a tight as hell rhythm section, some impressive to the bone songs and a strong production.

From the opening tune of "Down On You", Devil's Train makes clear that they are ready for some bigger things! This is the perfect opener and a song that brings back the glory sound of the hard rock/metal scene of the late 80's. And with the tasty "Hollywood Girl" we are dealing with another monstrous heavy anthem. The guitars in both tracks are 'big' and the choruses catchy as hell!! Brilliant stuff! Check out, also, the fast-paced rocker "Gimme Love", the bluesier ala Badlands "Mr.Jones" and the really heavy "Thunderstorm". It is impressive is, also, the cover track of Steppenwolf's big hit "Born To Be Wild".

Enjoyable and impressive album from start to finish! Killer heavy rock stuff with a strong late 80's, early 90's, vibe that will bring a wide smile upon the face of each and every single fan of this genre and especially for all the fans of Whitesnake, Badlands, Black Label Society, and Hellyeah. So, are you ready? The train is movin' and it's gonna make some noise!!!
