AUG / Be Careful What You Wish For... (2014)

AUG is a 'new' heavy rock band but consists by members that have been around in that kinda of scene for many years and played with many major acts such as Dokken, White Lion, L.A.Guns and Trixter to name a few. The band consists of AUG - Lead Vocals/Guitar, Russ Latamer - Drums/Percussion, Rich Tanis - Bass/Vocals and Tommy Shauger- Lead Guitars/Vocals.

"20 Years In Hell" was the band's debut release that received a great feedback by such notables as VH1 Classic's TMS host Eddie Truck. The band performed at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 "THAT METAL SHOW" Christmas PARTY's at Dingbatz w/ Eddie, Don and Jim. They, also, moved up the charts on REVERBNATIONS "HOT 500" Rock to the #2 position and consistently held a TOP 20 position in the NY/NJ metro area ROCK charts for over 2 years.

So, nowadays, AUG is releasing its second album which is entitled "Be Careful What You Wish For..". To be honest, I really don't know what they wished for but with an album like that the sure thing is that AUG will make some noise here! Great arrangements, some cool and tasty riffs and solos, solid performances and a tight as hell musicianship are the things that are included in "Be Careful What You Wish For..". Listen to the Damn Yankees-esque "Light Of Day", the 80's in-your-face rocker "Coming Home", the hard hitting "All I Can Be" (reminded me of Ozzy's earlier works) and the simply stunning cover of TOTO's classic hit "Africa" and you'll understand what I'm talking about here!

There is nothing more to add here except that "Be Careful What You Wish For.." is a very enjoyable record from start to finish with some killer tunes in it and can't be missed by any fan of the heavy rock scene of 80's, early 90's.
