DANGER DANGER / DANGER DANGER (1989) [classic albums]

Probably one of the best debut albums ever! Danger Danger's self-titled album originally released back in 1989 and came to rock our world with its amazing melodies, the tight songwriting and some tracks that are still considered as classics! Ted Poley on vocals, Andy Timmons on guitars, Bruno Ravel on bass, Steve West on drums and Kasey Smith on keyboards, all are delivering a well-crafted melodic hard rock album which is the beginning of becoming popular!

The album starts with one the band's biggest hits "Naughty Naughty". A hard hittin' anthem with a catchy as hell chorus line and Timmons brilliant guitar work. This was, also, a big MTV airplay back days. "Under The Gun" is another huge rocker with, again, a huge hook and chorus. Wonderfull stuff! "Saturday Nite" is a typical Rock N' Roll track and "Don't Walk Away" is one of my all time favourite tunes and probably one of the most melodic track ever!

"Bang Bang" and "Rock America" are both stunning sing-a-long songs with clever choruses and a feel good vibe. "Boys Will Boys" is a hymn to the 'boy meets girl' situation, if you know what I mean, while "One Step From Paradise" is a huge mid-tempo/ballad stuff with a way that only Danger Danger can deliver such songs. "Feels Like Love" is up-tempo and the last couple of tracks, "Turn It On" and "Live It Up", closes this release and leaves you with a big smile upon your face!

Overall, this is a fantastic album from one of the best hair metal bands ever. And even if Danger Danger after this one released only one album, "Screw It", and, also, changed their lead singer; they achieved to build a strong reputation around their name for over two decades! Well done!
